Robert Rice Obituary

Robert Rex "Bob" Rice MT. PLEASANT - Robert Rex Rice, 78, beloved husband of Roberta "Bobbi" Rice, passed away on September 17th, 2014. Born on October 8th, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, "Bob" served our country through the United States Navy for 20 years, from '52-'72, serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Having moved to Charleston in 1993, Bob enjoyed painting, shooting pool with the gang at Hanahan Senior Center and playing poker with his many friends. It was during his service in the Navy that he met his loving wife and soulmate, Bobbi, and their 58 year marriage has been and will continue to be an inspiration to their friends and family. His light is carried on within the hearts of their children - Valerie Reiszl (David), Michael Rice Sr., and Vicki Rice Dorsch (Jill); grandchildren - Michael Rice Jr., Amy Hatfield (Justin), Layla Rice, Eric Reiszl, Jenny Keasling (Freddie), Kelly Colyer (George), Sean Rice, and Cali Dorsch; and great-grandchildren - Stephen Rice, Miles Dacko, Zel Hatfield, and Sagan Lily Keasling.
