Robert Lartigue "Tigue" Rhodes SUMMERVILLE - Robert Lartigue (Tigue) Rhodes died in the early hours of December 14, 2013 at the Medical University Hospital, where he received expert, loving care during his brief fatal illness. Tigue was the youngest son of William David, Jr. and Jennie Moore Rhodes. He was born on June 8, 1959 in Kinston, NC. He lived there and in Richmond, VA and Signal Mtn., TN before coming to Summerville, SC in 1973, where his parents reside. He attended Porter Gaud school for one year, then was a graduate of Summerville High School. He went to USC where he was a member of Pi Pappa Phi Fraternity. He of course became a lifelong supporter of the Gamecocks. In later years, Tigue returned to school. He was a graduate of Trident Tech and a Dec. 2013 graduate of the College of Charleston with a B.S. Degree in Psychology. Tigue was good company, intelliegent and affable. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf with his father. He had much to live for until lung cancer cut his life short. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, his brothers William David, III, and wife Judy, Also Stephen Mayes and wife Janice. Two nephews: Richards Morse and wife Casey; William David, IV, and a Great-Nephew and Great-Niece. He was predeceased by his brother Richards Moore (Rick) Rhodes. Services will be private.
