After five years in industrial sales in New York City, Syracuse and Houston, Bob moved to Charlotte and entered the business of commercial real estate, forming Nuttall Associates, Ltd. in 1974 to offer leasing and property management services to owners and developers of office buildings and shopping centers in the Carolinas. Just returned home from attending Bob's funeral. Hardest road trip ever, since I was Bob's Citadel roommate for 3 of our 4 years together. I knew Bob for 59 years, I've know all his family for decades and I am proud to be Godfather to Bob, Jr. This entire extended family is composed of only first class people. I share their pain, but know also that they are strong, and will endure.

I didn't know many Citadel graduates personally, prior to my decision to attend The Citadel. Fortunately for me, I ended up in Band company and met the Nuttall family. One of the truly special things about the school is the tradition of excellence and strong leaders. Mr. Nuttall exemplified that from the first time I met him. He will be truly missed. What a fine gentleman and Citadel graduate!

My deepest condolences to the entire Nuttall family. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Mr & Mrs Nuttall for opening their home to me as a freshman at The Citadel. Their comfort and support helped to get me through my knob year. Please accept all the love, comfort and prayers I can offer you at this time.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:1-3

Sorry to learn of the loss of Bob Sr. to the Greater Charleston Community. He could be tough in negotiations but always tried to get the best deal for his many clients and friends. He was very proud of his family and loved to mention their many accomplishments. He was able to love the Citadel through all of the controversies and helped many people attend the college. His zeal will be missed. God Bless the family and his many friends.

Bob was a great father to his sons, especially my classmate from The Citadel, Bill Nuttall 1990. To all of the family in the Nut house who made a home to countless cadets from far and near, I offer prayers of peace and thanksgiving for his life.

The Edisto Yacht Club life was never the same to many of us after you and June left the island. You are missed then and now.
