Bob and I became friends during my 1st year in teaching at Cario MS. He was an excellent, caring man, and helped me greatly during very trying times. Above all, he loved his children, and missed his wife intensely. I am happy that he is together again with her now. Semper fi, Bob!

Bob was a good friend, a caring teacher, and a wise source of counsel during the short time we worked together at Cario. I miss him still. We are both former Marines, and he took care of me when I first came to work in SC. We told war stories, of course, about his time at The Citadel and in Vietnam, but he always loved to talk about his wife, his time in Portsmouth, and his sons. When I moved to Beaufort in 2015, we talked about getting together for oysters when he retired in December. When I called in January, he had gone to guard the streets of heaven. Rest in peace, brother. Semper Fi.

I had the privilege of working with Bob for 20+ years at the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Piketon, Ohio. Bob was fun to be around, but always took his work very seriously. He was well respected by all who knew him and he was always a gentleman. He loved his wife and children dearly and talked of them frequently.

Bob is a member of the class of 1967, The Citadel. I am also a member of that class and am proud to say that I knew Bob as a cadet and renewed our friendship when he moved to Charleston. In college he was a reserved man that had the respect of all who knew him. This same description can be given of him in his later years. Always glad to see me and always interested in our old friends. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word, a very classy guy. God bless you Bob as you join our classmates that have gone before.

"Mr. Moore" as he was known at Moultrie Middle School made an everlasting impression on my son. It takes a very special, loving, kind and tender hearted soul to work with students who have special needs. Mr. Moore was a sincere and loving teacher who invested time listening and taking to my son. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing and my son was even more sad. Words can't express how kind hearted and wonderful Mr. Moore was to us. All of you are in our prayers.

I was so sad to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with him at Moultrie. He came into my classroom at the end of the day for a few weeks early this school year to help out. He also took one of my students out to recess every day. He was always willing to help out, and treated my students with compassion and respect. He will be missed!

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Moore family. Bob had my deepest respect. He hired me to work at SOCF after I was discharged from the ARMY at the end of Vietnam. I worked for him for about sixteen-months until I was hired to work for the Portsmouth Police Department. Our paths crossed several times throughout the years. He was the constant gentleman, and great communicator. Again, you have my deepest condolences.
