Robert "Bob" Edward Mitchell, Jr. Summerville - Robert "Bob" Edward Mitchell, Jr., 78, of Summerville, husband of Noreen Simpson Mitchell, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Summerville Medical Center. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Summerville Museum, 100 E. Doty Ave., Summerville, SC 29483. Bob was born on December 5, 1942 in Dorchester, MA, son of the late Robert Edward, Sr. and Agnes Perriello Mitchell. He retired from the US Army. He was a substitute teacher at Reeves Elementary. Bob was a driver for the VA and volunteered at Summerville Medical Center and the Summerville Museum. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Noreen, are two children, Lisa Mitchell Grandy and husband, Timothy of Big Pine Key, FL and Robert Edward Mitchell III and fiance;, Crystal Campbell of Summerville, three grandchildren, Brenna Lynn Mitchell, Jacob R. Mitchell, and Jacquelyn Grandy, and two siblings: Richard Mitchell (Lynda) of Braintree, MA and Anita Zadah (Glenn) of Randolph, MA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Mitchell and Michael Mitchell.
