COAL TOWNSHIP - Robert L. Milbrand, 72, of 1121 W. Independence St., died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey.
He was born in Shamokin, Nov. 12, 1952, a son of Lloyd and Ramona (Rhoades) Milbrand.
He was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School, Class of 1971.
Robert worked in construction in the Shamokin area.
Robert was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, in Shamokin. He was a life "A" member of Independence Fire Association, social member of Rescue Fire Co., St. Francis Home Association and played on the Over 40 League Pool Team.
Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge, May 5, 1975.
Robert is survived by his companion and significant other of 27 years, Joan Ann Feese; his son, Robert W. Milbrand, of Shamokin; two sisters, Pamela Staley, of South Carolina, and Marilyn Milbrand, of Delaware; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; four stepgrandchildren; and nine great-stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Donna Milbrand; and brother-in-law, John Staley.
MILBRAND - Robert L. Milbrand, 72, of 1121 W. Independence St., Coal Township. A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. Funeral service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, to help defray the cost of the funeral.
