Robert King Obituary

Robert King Charleston - Robert Joseph King, 83, of Charleston, SC, husband of Marguerite Meyer King (deceased), entered into eternal rest Saturday March 27, 2021. Robert was born May 21, 1937 in Charleston, SC, son of Rutledge Happoldt King and Junita Duc King. He was a Veteran of the Army, was a draftsman at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, loving husband, father and Papa. He is survived by his mother, Junita King (102) of Charleston, SC, three Daughters: Deborah Scherer (Paul) of Pinnacle, NC, Jeanne Tiemann of North Charleston, SC, Patricia Key (Gary) of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Joseph Allred (Ashley) , Kala Tiemann, Austin Tiemann, Jerod Tiemann (Kristen), Robert Key, Patrick Key; three great-grandchildren: Gabe Allred, Josiah Allred, Amy Tiemann; 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews. A Life Well Celebrated Service will be on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11 am in the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with Army Military Honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
