Robert Raymond Hurley GOOSE CREEK - Robert Raymond Hurley, 81, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Joan Pierson Hurley died Sunday, June 2, 2013. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC at 11:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell, with military honors, will take place at a later date in Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5, 2013, between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm and also between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. Mr. Hurley was born September 30, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late James Hurley and the late Isabel Zimmerman Hurley. He was a US Army veteran and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a graduate the Academy of Advanced Traffic, NY, NY and worked 35 years specializing in Distribution Management. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan; sons, Robert Hurley and his wife Susan of Starkville, MS, Raymond Hurley and his wife Robin of Kennesaw, GA; brother, James Hurley of Jersey City, NJ; sister, Geraldine Gullace and her husband Michael of Toms River, NJ; brother-in-law, John Pierson and his wife Frances of Barnegat, NJ; grandchildren: Ian Hurley, Ryan Hurley, Devon Hurley and Cassidy Hurley.
