Robert Hogue Obituary

Robert Andrew Hogue, Jr., age 72, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away on September 12, 2025. Born on December 13, 1952, in Coloma, Michigan, he was the beloved son of the late Robert A. Hogue, Sr. and Nancy C. Hogue. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 12 years, a time of his life marked by dedication, discipline, and service. Following his military career, he continued to contribute through his work as an assembler at Boeing in Charleston, where he brought the same integrity and work ethic he carried throughout his life. Bob had a love for the outdoors, especially the lakes of Michigan where he spent many childhood days fishing with family and friends. As he got older, his passion for adventure continued with countless hours spent riding his motorcycle, always chasing the open road and the freedom it brought him. For 50 years, Bob shared a loving marriage with his wife, Teresita Hogue. Their bond was a beautiful example of love and mutual respect. They were true partners in life, and Bob especially cherished the meals lovingly prepared by Teresita; always his favorite part of the day. Family was the heart of Bob's world. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He especially treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, finding joy in every moment with them. A passionate sports fan, Bob loved football and baseball. He proudly coached his son in youth baseball, creating lasting memories both on and off the field. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresita Hogue; his children: Anna L. Padgett, Robert "Bobby" A. Hogue, III (Carla), Paul W. Hogue (Brooklyn), and Michael J. Hogue (Amber); his grandchildren: Barry W. Stacy (Shawna), Brandon R. Padgett (Tracy), Angelina L. Padgett, Braxton L. Britt, Devon Hogue, Braylee Wright, Caden Hogue, Tyler Hogue, Gavin Hogue, Reagan Hogue, Kaiya Hogue, Kendall Hogue, and Alaina Hogue; his great grandchildren: Elaina, Stacy, Ronin, Liam, Ana, and Evie; as well as his siblings: Terry Harry, Brenda Fish, and Lois Kay Fanning. He was preceded in death by his loving parents; his granddaughter, Mia Linn Hogue; as well as his siblings: Joyce Hogue, Cheryl Hogue, and Paulette Hogue. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
