Robert "Bob" "Bobby" H. Haskell Deep Gap, NC - Robert "Bob" "Bobby" H. Haskell, 75, of Deep Gap, NC, husband of Patricia Melfi Haskell, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Summerville, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6 to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home and again on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10 to 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Summerville Cemetery, 700 Boone Hill Road, Summerville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Alliance Bible Fellowship-Missions, 1035 North Carolina Hwy., 105 Bypass, Boone, NC 28607 or SECU Family House, 1970 Baldwin Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 21103, Mr. Haskell was born March 4, 1942 in Wilkesboro, NC, son of the late Joseph Frank Haskell and Grace Wellborn Haskell. He graduated from Summerville High School in 1960 and attended Clemson University. Mr. Haskell retired after thirty five years from Albany International as an Engineer. Bob & Pat were high school sweethearts and married for 55 years. They enjoyed their retirement in Deep Gap, NC, keeping busy with a variety of hobbies and traveling around the country visiting their grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Patricia, two sons and two daughters: Robert H. Haskell, Jr. (Tina) of Austin, TX, Richard F. Haskell (Susan) of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth F. Schiebel (Bill) of Denver, CO, and Catherine H. Poirier (Doug) of Denver, CO, thirteen grandchildren: Veronica, Emily, Henry, Lewis, George, Paul, Robby, David, Daniel, Joel, Nathan, Luke and Liam, many nieces, nephews and cousins, five sisters: Loretta Haskell, Pat Martin, Martha Henderson, Lib Seabrook (Bill) and Rebecca Henderson (Mike Booe); two sisters in law: Angela Shirey and Hope Rigby (Hal) and one brother in law: Tony Melfi (Pat). He was predeceased by one grandson: Zachary Haskell and two brothers: Joseph F. Haskell, Jr. and Jerry Haskell. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at
