From spending my summers in Hemmingway with my Aunt Franky and Uncle Jack Greene, I had the pleasure of knowing Robert Allen plus a lot of other wonderful people in Hemmingway. After over 40 years I had the privilage to run into him at the Duck Club with my son. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family and that you find strength with the help of family and friends.

It seems like a life time ago when Aunt Franky and Uncle Jack Greene owned businesses and was part of the Hemingway community. During their time, I met a lot of wonderful people including Robert and his sister Lynn. We shared a lot of laughs and good times and wonderful memories. My prayers go out to Robert and his family and friends. He was a true southern gentleman and will be remembered fondly.

Sherry my heart breaks that he has left, yet still so young. But, we know it is just for a while, and then there will be a great reunion. I pray for you and the girls to receive supernatural grace and strength and peace at this time.

I remember visiting the Harwell house when ya'll lived in Johnsonville. It was a young man's ideal play area with all the cool dogs you could imagine and zipline and pond to fish. Any time my dad said we were going to Mr. Robert's - I GOT EXCITED! Mr. Robert was a great man. Fun to be around with a treasure trove of duck/hunt/training stories to entertain. I am glad that I knew him and thank the Lord for the time He chose to give us with Mr. Robert Harwell. Mr. Robert is with the Lord now, and even though we miss him - we know he is in a better place which is beautiful beyond our imagination.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Sherry, Brenda and I send our thoughts and prayers to you and the girls. Robert was a great guy and a friend to me. I was proud to have had Harley , one of Robert's "finished" great Black Lab's. This dog was a southern gentleman and I know he got that from Robert's love of his dogs. I am glad that I had the opportunity to chat briefly with Robert a few weeks ago. I was amazed of his attitude and strength knowing that he had but little time left with us. The last time that I saw him, he had just finished duck hunting somewhere in the Georgetown area. He had a great hunt and was all smiles. We had a great chat at Scofield Hardware. I will miss Robert!
