I never met Robert personally, but I had heard great thing of him during my research on Charleston. I am truly sadden to hear of the passing of Robert. He truly was a good man. I will always think of him when I pass by the cooper's river bridge.

Commissioner Harrell always had a good word after I made presentations to the DOT Commission. He will be long remembered at SCDOT and the hallmark projects he was involved with.
