I am a fried of Rob's from University of Illinois and we had recently reconnected due to his efforts. Although 34 years had passed, and despite his successes, I found him little unchanged; a singular, confident, brilliant, hilarious friend. The world is duller with his passing. I will miss him and I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
