Bob and I were friends in college and I remember spending many long and happy hours in philosophical discussions with him. He was one of the brightest and most well-read people I've ever known. I remember you, too, Kathy, and I hope you and your daughters are happy, healthy, and fulfilled.

Dr. Edgeworth was a great teacher and an even greater person. If not for his support and encouragement, I would not have finished my Ph.D. Jesse and I send our deepenst sympathy to his family.

As his student, Dr. Edgeworth pushed me to do my best and made me feel great about myself. May God bless his family with strength to get through this mournful time. Please know that you are all in my prayers.

As a friend and colleague of Dr. Edgeworth's daughter, Julie, I know how much she loved and admired her father. Through our discussions, she let me know what an intelligent, loving and strong man he was. I am sure he will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with the Edgeworth family during this most difficult time.

Dear Julie,

I have never had the pleasure of meeting your father. However, since I heard about him, my family and I have prayed for you, your father, and your family for the past few weeks. We will continue to pray for you and yours during this difficult time. If you need anything, please let me know. Because we are right around the corner.

I had the honor of completing my minor in Latin with Dr. Edgeworth, you could feel his passion and love for teaching just by walking into his classroom. He worked many hours with me on my meter problem, and I owe my success to him. Not only was he a great teacher, but he was one of the funniest I had met on campus. Being a native of Chicago as well we shared stories of our favorite places with each other, he will always be remembered in the Classics department, and never forgotton at LSU.

Bob and I grew up together on Loomis and I remember playing chess with him in second grade and losing most of the time. Our families, similar in structure, with older and younger children, shared the grief of Margie's early death. My condolences to Bob's family and friends.

Dear Kathy,

May Jesus put his loving arms around you and comfort you in your sorrow. I saw Bob's death notice in the paper today (Wednesday) not soon enough to attend the liturgy.

I would have liked to have been with you and have seen Julia and Antonia. They were small children when I saw them last. I will remember Bob in my prayers.

I met Dr. Edgeworth in 1987 at the Convention of the Latin Liturgy Association in Washington ,DC and have admired him since for his clear sense of the LLA's mission and unfailing dedication to the same. I pray that the forthcoming LLA's endeavours shall benefit from his example for many years to come, as he will surely watch us as he partakes in the Heavenly Liturgy, better than anything we can perform here below. In aeternum ac in pace vale, egregie Roberte!

I hadn't seen Bob for many years, but I retain fonds memories of our friendship in Ann Arbor. Truly one of the most extraordinary individuals it has ever been my honor to meet, I am deeply saddened at his passing, especially at so tragically young an age.

We were your next door neighbors on Loomis Street and are saddened to hear of Bob's death. I have many memories of years past, some happy, some sad. I especially remember our Moms talking over the fence sharing the ups and downs of life and the latest antics of the boys. Thank you for being such good neighbors and friends. You are in our prayers.

Bob, you have touched so many lives, and your love for Holy Mother Church's Sacred Liturgy was an inspiration to all of us. Requiescat in pace.
