Robert Driggers Obituary

Robert John Driggers, 82, of Bonneau, SC, retired owner of Tri County Septic and Services passed away peacefully Thursday morning at his residence. Robert is now with God and his son, John, that he has missed every day since his death in 1980. Robert was born November 30, 1942, in Berkeley County, SC, a son of William (Willie) Nathanel Driggers, Sr., and Rachel Alice (Huff) Driggers. He was a devout Christian, who loved the Lord and was a member of St. Johns Bethel Baptist Church in Moncks Corner. He was also an avid member of the S.C. Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and farming, but he especially enjoyed trail riding, camping, and fellowshipping with his friends. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert John Driggers, Jr; six sisters, Elsie Miles, Ala Mae Bowers, Noel Reeves, Betty Ann Mizell, Diana Driggers, and Orion Legette; and three brothers, Charles A. Driggers, William N. Driggers, Jr., and Daniel N. Driggers. Robert leaves behind two daughters, Angela Driggers (Bob) and Loretta Lynn Fosdick (Scott); a sister, Janette Turner of Summerville; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2025, in the St Johns Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 AM until the hour of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, Robert suggested memorials be made to his beloved church, St. Johns Bethel Baptist Church, 133 St Johns Bethel St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461, or to the S.P.C.A. & Humane Education Center of Sumter, 1140 S. Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
