We wish to express our deepest sympathies to the Chinn family. I was Bob's brother-in-law from many years past and found to him to be a great gentleman. I know all of you will miss him tremendously. May God bless you and bring you peace and comfort.

You have my deepest sympathy. Please know that those of us who got to know Bob through the Charleston Natural History Society enjoyed birding with him. I've got some great memories of having birded with Bob and will miss his knowledge in the field. He was a delight to know!

You have our deepest sympathy for loss. I work with Chief Chinn when I was stationed at the Polaris Missile Facility, Atlantic in the mid 70's. He was a great guy. He will be missed by all that knew him. God Bless

May I express my deepest condolences to the Chinn family. I knew Robert from the Submarine Veterans and he was a key member of our organization. His passing saddens us all and he will be sorely missed. I would like to bid my shipmate fair winds and following seas as he reports for duty with the Supreme Commander and keep in my prayers those he has left behind. W. Erickson

Before moving to Greenville I was active in CNHS and went birding with Bob and other Audubon members for many years. We always loved it when Bob brought his special chili - it was the best! Although I had not seen Bob in several years I remember him fondly. My sincere sympathy to his family.
