Coach "Big" was a tremendous, positive influence on many young people´s lives who were fortunate enough to play for him. He had a unique way to motivate you with encouragement and love. I remember his pregame talk to us in 1968 before the State championship football game. We would have walked through a brick wall for him. He was a wonderful role model for all. He loved Jane and his children unconditionally. He taught all of us the benefits of hard work and importance of always doing the right thing. I was blessed to have him play a huge role in my life. RIP Coach.

He touched the lives of many adolescent athletes in a respectful but disciplined way as he did at R.B. Stall High when first active in coaching. My responsibility was President of Block S Club 1965-66 as a Senior Warrior under his coaching. It was fun.Everything else he did painted his future. He obviously was a talented artist and influenced athletes in a positive way.
