We just heard the news today (5/31/18) of this great loss. Mr. Altman was a good man that loved his family, his community, as well as those he met. He was a man of his word. I grew up in a time when you gave your word it meant exactly that no signature required and that is what I saw in Mr. Altman. Today we don't see to much of that any more. We are loosing more and more of those that was brought up with moral values. He will truly be missed. We know his family will miss him mostly and we hope they will please accept our sympathy. If there is anything we can do to help please let us know.
Sincerely,
Henry and Lisa Hanser and Family
Happy Holliday

A great man has left us. Linwood was always the fun Dad, always had the coolest toys for us to play with as kids. Some of my earliest memories are playing at the house in the triangle at Pawleys, the in-ground trampoline, the secret stairwell in Alans closet down to the fun room, setting up their tent for us in front of our beach house for me and Alan to camp out as little kids. Never too busy to play a round of basketball on the dirt court at their house in Georgetown or the full court at the beach. He was much like another father to me and taught me so many things while being so generous. He took me to Jamaica on their family trip so Alan could have a buddy around, he gave me one of my first jobs bagging groceries at Lachicottes. He instilled in me a work ethic through example and teaching that has served me all of my life. He showed me a love of family and always made me feel like I was a part of his.
He will be missed.
