Ricki Flynn Obituary
Margurite (Ricki) Flynn, 74, formerly of Hayes Lane, Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at East Mountain Manor. She was born September 4, 1930 in Wilkes-Barre Township. She was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Farmore) Ward. She was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School. Ricki was employed by Central Slipper for many years before its closing and later worked for Delta Hosiery until her retirement.
Her husband, Joseph E. Flynn, died August 12, 1983; sisters, Mary Flynn, Clare Kovaleski, Rita Farber, Bernadette Gates and Dorothy Purta and brothers, Thomas, John, Joseph, Leo and Cornelius Ward also preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons, Joseph E., Jr and Jude, both of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Joseph and Jennifer Flynn of Wilkes-Barre; sister, Ann Marie Maloney of Wilkes Barre.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from McLaughlin Family Funeral Services, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

I JUST WANTED TO LET RICKI'S FAMILY KNOW HOW MUCH OUR FAMILY LOVED HER.SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON. MY MOTHER AND RICKI WERE ROOMMATES AT THE NURSING HOME. BUT THEY WERE MORE THAN THAT, THEY WERE BEST FRIENDS, ACTUALLY, MORE LIKE SISTERS. OUR FAMILY LOVED RICKI LIKE A MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL, ESPECIALLY MY MOTHER, THERESA FLOREK. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
