It´s been over 4 years and my heart still aches. God truly blessed me when he brought me into your life. We had so many good times together. We worked hard and played hard. Family was always first. Because of you my life was full of joy. I think of you every day and am so glad our paths crossed. Love is rare and hard to find, but we did find each other in this big universe. Love you always my Ricky

I am thinking of you dad because tomorrow is the 2nd year anniversary of your death. It has become a bit easier as the years have gone by but my heart aches the same. I miss you dad!

I remember Rick well from our days at Estee Properties. It has been many years, and I wish we had kept in touch. I am so sorry for your loss, Liz. Would love to reconnect. May God bless you and your family.

I knew Rick through his work for the past 15 years or so. So few people carried themselves with the competence, poise, humor, and wisdom as Rick. I will miss him and pray for your family. I lost my sister last year to cancer & my mom had a really helpful comment maybe you'll find soothing after the 1 yr anniv of her passing--we just celebrated her 1st "heaven birthday". God bless.

Alan and I both feel so lucky to have known Rick. Liz...we have so many precious memories of spending amazing times with your family. We laughed, sang Tina Turner loudly (and sometimes shared these tunes with the neighbors!), danced to Bob Marley....drank some Jamaican Rum...trips to the beach... just hanging out and playing pool...guy's golfing...going to the girl's cheerleading tournaments..Rick and Alan taking the "whole herd" of kids trick or treating...just sharing life. I am so very happy that we had an opportunity to get together this past year. We will miss him greatly...but he will always live on in our memories. The love, laughter and friendship that Rick shared with us is something we will cherish always. Love you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with Liz and Kylie. Rick was true professional. He and Joe interviewed me 13 years ago. I guess I can blame him for still being with Joe and the Firm. Rick was hard to work with and for at times, but it was worth. He was always honest and fair with me and I will never forget that. Thank you my friend.

Rick was a wonderful person and mentor to me who I will sorely miss. My most heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.

I know rick will be missed we worked together in a cpa practice many years ago . Rick was a smart and talented cpa , course we always had to wait for him to cash a check for lunch or buy him lunch .we boated some in neal myers boat and always had a good time. I wish the best for all of the family.

I am still in shock after learning of Rick's passing and have been praying constantly for your family. Liz, I loved spending time with you and Rick because the two of you fit together so perfectly. I'll always remember Rick with his wry sense of humor as a balance to you with your abundant sweetness. I've always admired Rick for his work ethic and his fierce desire to provide for his family. I know your loss is tremendous and that nothing I can say will help with that. Just know how very much you are loved and that Rick leaves all of us just a little bit better for having known him. It is with tremendous pride that I have had the privilege to have known Rick over these past years. Not only has he blessed me with the most beautiful and caring wife, Sloane, and amazing son Tyler. For without him neither would be possible. But since our introduction 10+ years ago Rick became one of my largest advocates for living a good and happy life.
Since meeting Rick he became more of a father to me than even my own, having provided a true model of what lengths a man should go to provide for and protect his family. No matter any ideaologic differences we may have ever had, we were always family.
Words could never truly show my love, admiration and appreciation for everything Rick has become to me and my family over these years. I will forever hold a special place in my heart and soul for him. He will always live on in the hearts, faces and memories of each individual of his beautiful family. I am just truly greatful to able to be a part of this family.

Rick...where to even begin? When I started working for you almost 10 years ago, I was so intimidated. I quickly learned that you weren't so scary after all. You were just someone who wanted everyone around you to do their best. I learned more from you than I ever dreamed possible. You certainly became intertwined in my life more than I realized. I heard a joke the other day that I wanted to tell you. I've open more email messages than I care to admit to pass along tidbits of information. Most importantly, I've wanted to ask you so many questions because "Rick will know." My mentor. I sure do miss you Ricky Poo. My prayers are with Liz and your children right now. And if anything turns up, I'll turn it down.

You are in our hearts forever! You brought so much love and joy to all you touched. Your glass was always half full and never half empty. Thanks so much for the memories RWD and for doing it your way!

Rick was a loving and caring person. We grieve his passing and will pray for the repose of his soul and for the family and many friends during their grieving.

I worked with Rick during the time that Benjy owned River Hills Golf Course and was also the recipient of some of his vast knowledge in connection with the financial side of the golf course. Rick and his humor always made an otherwise subject such as accounting more enjoyable. My prayers and thoughts are with you (his family) during this sad time.

I will really this man who I considered to be a second Dad to me. Since his passing the memories have been flooding back, Rick taught me how to spell (S.L.O.A.N.E), lost me at a waterpark, and instilled a love of music combined with simple wholesome family fun. Looking back I can't help but wonder if he was the reason I became an accountant. I will sincerely miss his humor but I see so much of him in his children I know that he might not be here physically but Rick Weddington lives forever in them.
