Richard Ward Obituary

Richard Ward CHARLESTON - Richard Edward Ward, Jr., age 40, of Charleston, SC, died Sunday June 26, 2011. Richard was born May 26, 1971 in San Diego, CA, son of Richard Edward Ward and Patricia Ann Johnson Ward. He attended East Cooper Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. Before becoming disabled he worked in golf maintenance at Legend Oaks Golf Course and also at W & W Cabinet Shop, Inc. of Charleston for several years. Richard will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Johnson Ward of Charleston, and father Richard E. Ward and wife Suzanne, of Goose Creek; his grandmother, Eleanor C. Johnson of Charleston; and two brothers Terence Michael Ward and his wife Katherine of Wilmington, NC and Robert Daniel Ward of Phoenix, AZ. Memorial services for Mr. Ward will be at 11 am, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1520 RIFLE RANGE ROAD, Mount Pleasant, SC, 29464 which will be followed by a burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Georgetown, SC. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Memorial donations may be sent to the Low Country Food Bank, 2864 Azalea Dr., Charleston, SC, 29405 or to Darkness to Light Foundation, 7 Radcliffe Street # 200, Charleston, SC, 29403.
