Richard Weston Valentine Ravenel, SC - Richard Weston Valentine, 58, of Ravenel, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 17, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 in First Baptist Church of Ravenel, 5987 Hwy 165 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Ravenel Churchyard. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 20, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Richard was born May 16, 1957 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Leroy Valentine and Patricia Oliver Valentine. He was a driver with a Welding Supply Company. Richard was a youth baseball coach and member of First Baptist Church of Ravenel. He is survived by his son, Richard W. Valentine, Jr. of Ravenel, SC, brother, Kenneth Valentine of Ravenel, SC, three sisters, Mary Meyers of Fredericksburg, VA, Linda Vernon of Hoschton, GA, and Crystal Valentine of Chesapeake, VA; two grandchildren, Katelyn Valentine, and Richard W. Valentine, III. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. So sad to hear this... Cindy and I had a long visit with him a few months back and he shared his faith with us.. I know it was a little gift from god that we had that time BC he let us know Dickie belongs to him. I know that he is now in heaven. My prayers for comfort go out to the family.
