Richard Stocker Simmons CHARLESTON - Richard Stocker Simmons, 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 27, 2013. His Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 in St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Mr. Simmons was born April 28, 1938 in Charleston, SC, son of Ralph Baxter Simmons and Leila Hutto Simmons. He was a graduate of The College of Charleston. He is survived by his brother, Timothy W. Simmons of Aiken, SC, a niece, Rebecca S. Johnston of Charleston, SC and two nephews; Ralph B. Simmons, III of Anderson, SC and Andrew B. Simmons of Greer, SC. Mr. Simmons was predeceased by a brother, Ralph B. Simmons, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 731 Meeting Street, Charleston SC 29403 A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.
