Richard Ward Powell MT. PLEASANT - Richard Ward Powell, 52, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Rachel Ann Marshall Powell died Saturday, January 25, 2014. His memorial service will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 9:00 a.m. Rich was born June 13, 1961 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of the late Russell Eugene Powell and the late Jean Marie McClintock. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer Boatswain Mate. He was employed by Liberty Cedar. Richard was very social and had many friends. He was an avid reader, enjoyed camping and boating. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ann Powell; daughter, Erin Leigh Powell; sister, Barbara McGowan (Will) of Longmont, CO; three brothers: John Powell (Jill) of Greeley, CO, Doug Powell (Roxie) of Laporte, CO, and Steve Powell (Sally) of Kansas City, KS.
