I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dick Pate. To his family I extend my deepest sympathy. I was proud to have been one of his employees at Cummins Power Systems corporate office

I am stunned and saddened to learn of Dick's passing. He always was so active and hardworking. I am so sorry for the family. We all knew how close he was to his family. Again, my heart goes out to Kathy and family.

We were so saddened to learn of Dick's passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Kathy, Amy, Ashley and their families. From the early days working together at Cummins, to across-the-street neighbors on South Drive, we fondly remember Dick and the outstanding employee, husband and father he was. We treasured our last visit with Dick and Kathy at Don Bowman's home in Hagerstown. We are sorry we were not able to visit with them in Annapolis. Our heartfelt condolences to Dick's family and the many friends he made on his journey through life. The world is a better place because Dick was in it.

My sincere sympathy to the Pate Family. Dick was such a great guy. He hired me after my retirement from the US Coast Guard in 2000 and let me help grown his Marine Division @ Cummins Power Systems. I had nothing but respect for him. My prayers that he is enjoying life everlasting in Heaven with the Lord.

So sad. We love you all.

Dick Pate was my neighbor when I grew up in Terre Haute. I still think of him as Becky's older brother. Although we weren't in touch through the years, I knew he was doing well through Becky. I know he will be missed by all who knew him

Now you are sailing in a 'shoal of stars' which is a voyage your friends and colleagues at Cummins regret you had to take.

Even so to every life some gifts are given. We are glad for yours and for the opportunity to have been a very small part of an organization to which your life brought skill, nurture and intelligence.

We will look for your star trail across the heavens with hope and sadness!

Our deepest condolences. Seems everyone liked Dick - he was so well thought of - though his presence on earth will be missed - the heavens will light up with joy. May Dick rest in peace.

Difficult to find words about seeing Dick around the Cummin's Charleston plant. Always a smile and an offer to help wherever he could. My sympathy goes out to his entire family.

Never met Dick, Though we are all family here. My thoughts are prayers go out to the family. Im so sorry.

Met Dick in 1970 the day he walked in Cummins door and he has been a wonderful friend till the end. I am truly devastated by this loss. An old saying was never more true " only the good die young" RIP Dick

The world has lost a true humanitarian. Dick was always ready to help others and he enjoyed talking about Boy Scouts and Philmont when he came to Bristol. I respected and admired Dick from the first time I met him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I will cherish the picture I shared with Dick and Karl at one of our training sessions in Columbus. He was an admirable person. His family are in my thoughts and prayers during their time of bereavement and this is difficult period. Take comfort that he is now your guiding angel.

Dick was a great person. Always charitable and kind who made time to help anyone he could. He will be missed by many people which is a tribute to his character. May peace be with Dick and his family.
