Richard Mraz Dorchester, SC - Richard Mraz, 84, husband of Winnie Bazzle Mraz, of Dorchester, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at his residence. Memorial Services will be Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2017, at 2 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1 o'clock until the time of service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Commanders Honors, 968 Folly Rd, Charleston, SC 29412. Richard was born February 25, 1933, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Michael Mraz and Ann Tovtin Mraz. He retired as a truck driver for Food Lion. He honorably served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was in the 503 Airborne Division. Richard will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, Winnie Mraz of Dorchester, Richard leaves behind his sons, Richard Mraz of Dorchester, and Michael Mraz of Summerville; daughters, Cindy Martin of Wichita, KS, and Jini Turner (Larry) of Charleston; brothers, Gabriel Mraz (Karen), John Mraz (Gloria), all of Youngstown, OH, and Michael Mraz of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Sylvia Ramsthaler (Robert) of Gainesville, FL; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
