Richard Hussey Obituary

Visited Hussey Motors many times-and my Dad worked for Richard in th 60's. We remember him well.

I am so sorry that we did not know of Uncle Richard's passing until yesterday, April 24, 2014. I loved him and Aunt Pearline dearly, as did our children. Visiting Uncle Richard was always a highlight of our visits home to Myrtle Beach. God Bless you all and please know that we are so sorry for this loss.

Sara (aka Sara Frances Hussey) and I just received word today, April 23, 2014, that Richard passed away last month. Richard was one of the nicest man that I ever met. He was a true Southern Gentleman, and I always enjoyed visiting with him when we were back in Myrtle Beach. We will miss him dearly, but we will always have very fond memories of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God Bless.

To the Hussey family. I was so saddened to hear of Richard's passing. Your parents and mine were good friends for as long as I can remember. What great memories to have. Your Mom and Dad were two people I always looked up to. They were great people and great parents. I know they were proud of each one of you.

He was loved by so many and I will always think of him every trip to Myrtle Beach when I pass Hussey Motors.

Dear Hussey Family, I was so sorry to hear about Richard. He was an amazing man who lived an amazing life. My grandfather, Walter Riles, was Rosa's brother. I will be keeping each of you in my prayers.

To the family of Richard I send my heartfelt condolences. I always felt I was treated special when dealing with
Richard. He was an honest and true mechanic ... not a parts changer. Most directions to other places, stores and such were noted as "past Hussey Motors", "over near Hussey Motors", or "on the other side of Hussey Motors". It was a landmark and Richard an outstanding person. May the memories of him help you through this as he has helped throughout his life.

So very sorry for your loss. Pappa (as I knew him) was a wonderful man that my son, Chris Petersen loved and admired. I remember the two of them picking at each other, mainly about Chris' fast driving. I'm sure they are now starting all over in Heaven. Praying for comfort for you all at this time.

Uncle Richard is an awesome man whom we love and will miss. He is now rejoined with his love and his daughter and heavenly family.

Shannon, I want to extend my condolences to the entire Hussey family on the passing of Mr. Hussey. I remember him from way back in the 50's when as a teenager working at the beach, my boss had her car serviced at Hussey Motors. I was a patient of Myrtle Beach Family Medicine for many years.
