Richard Chandler Hiott LADSON - The relatives and friends of Richard Chandler Hiott of Ladson, husband of Sandra Greene Hiott, are invited to attend his Memorial service on Thursday January 1, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. He was born on April 28th 1944 in Charleston, S.C. to the late Louis and Grace Hiott. He was retired from General Electric in Ladson. He was an avid sportsman, who loved to fish. He was a member of "SCAD" South Carolina Association for the Deaf. He also served as Vice President of the Low Country Association of the Deaf. He took great pride in caring for his deaf friends' yards. He supported the Summerville Greenwave. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Greene Hiott of Ladson; two daughters, Catharine Hill "Lane" of Mt. Pleasant and Flora Hiott of Ladson; one brother, Tommy Hiott of Johns Island; one granddaughter, Mikayla Hill of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one step-grandson, William Hill of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
