Shawn, Tyler, Misty and Crystal I want you to know my heart goes out to you. Losing a Mom or Dad has to be one of the hardest things other than your child. My prayers go out to each of you. Keep your head up and remember to make Rick proud he'll ALWAYS be looking over each one of you. Treasure the memories you have and hold them and each other close at heart. Love you guys, Beverly and Katelyn and Kim.

Shannon,
I know that it has been many (....) years since we last spoke or saw each other but when I saw the obituary in the paper ~ I had to contact you. Hope you don't mind. I want you to know that I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the difficult process of grieving. I can't begin to know the depths of your grief, but in almost losing my own husbband in March of this year ~ I can well imagine the feelings... I know that your life will be different, and it will seem impossible to want to go on, but, rest assured that is what your husband would have wanted. Take heart in knowing that you have the memories of cherished times to keep him with you when the grief seems overwhelming.
Anyway, wanted you to know that I do remember you, and I wish you well in the days ahead as you adjust to life, lived differently.

To My Sister

Though not always together,
Life sometimes kept you apart.
You were never really separated,
You were always in each other's hearts.

Now I know you've had your troubles,
just as every couples do.
Bue you always loved him
and he always loved you.

The breath of him,
Was the breath of you
And it was your never ending love
That somehow always got you thru.

You have had lots of good times
That you will miss but never ever forget
Sometimes you will worry
And sometimes you will fret.

But if God ever gave you
Something special you see,
It might have been the blessing
of your created family.

He has now left their care to you
As he trusted you above all,
To take care of your loved ones
And be there for them, should they fall.

The Lord above has given you lots
Of precious memories to treasure.
But the most special thing he did was
Make you lovers forever.

That is something that even death
can never ever tear apart.
For so long as you continue to live
He will remain right inside your heart.

Your bond is extremely special
It is unique in it's own way.
You have something irreplaceable
And trust that your sadness will lessen with each and every day.

So when your spirits need a little lift,
Close your eyes and simply speak to him.
And smile big as you remember
How much you love was truly a gift.

He has only left this world
He now resides in a beautiful place.
He was greeted with joy and laughter
And the smiles of many a loved one's face.

He is now free from pain,
full of joy and he knows no sorrow.
While he patiently awaits the time to rejoin
with you, his true love, in a more joyous tomorrow.

Athough you may have thought you failed,
Believe me, you both passed the test
Of finding an everlasting love
That outshines even the best.

So when you need him
Speak his name and talk to him.
It really is simple if you remember and believe
His spirit is here with you, He did not leave.

Whenever you're lonely or feeling sad,
Remember all of the good times together you had.
One day God will call you and bring you back home
And together again you shall be, right where you belong.

Until that time comes, live your life well
Your family is here for you, on that you should never dwell.
Be happy, be gracious, be loving and kind
Please know he's still with you, inside your heart and in your mind.

Rick, I have known you as my uncle from day one. Although we don't have too many memories together, the ones we do have will never be forgotten. I love you, you will always be on my mind. It hurts to lose another loved one. But, I know you're in a better place now. I love you uncle Rick! R.I.P.
Shawn and Tyler, I love you guys! I'm sorry for your loss. Just know that you will get to see him again. This is not the end! I promise! I'm here for you two if you need me!

Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little–but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me–but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me - But Let me Go!

RIP RICHARD ALLEN FORD
5/23/2012

Shawn and Tyler,
I know you are feeling so very, very sad,
Today you lost your friend, you lost your loving dad.
Together the two of you have cried an ocean of tears
I know you are feeling empty and holding so many fears.

But daddy would want you both to know he's in a better place
And that he's watching you both with a big smile on his face.
You both have made him so proud, as proud as a dad can be
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family.

Thinking back now, to yourself you must say
How lucky and privileged you were for every moment you spent with him each and every day.
For in your lives, he has always played a very special part
The memories you will now treasure and always keep close to your heart

To all of Rick's loved ones, I know he would like to see
For all of you, to be grateful, his life is now complete.
To each and every one of you that he has loved and cared,
He'd want you to bond together as a family, and be thankful for the good times that you have shared.

Although he has gone you will always be together
And his spirit will live on in each and every one of you forever.
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star
As that will be your daddy looking down on you from afar.

So for now take the time to thank the good Lord above
For blessing you with your daddy and all his kindness and love.
Give him thanks for ending his suffering
And for welcoming him with open arms into his new home above.

And Rick, if you are listening say a prayer for your family every day.
Be sure to protect them and guide them on their way.
We know when God called you, it was your time to go.
But we want you to know, how much your family loves and misses you so.

I love you boys very much,
Aunt Shelly
