EGGERS, Richard Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 20, 2006, Richard Louis Eggers, husband of Beverly Shaffer Eggers. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Louis Eggers are invited to attend the graveside services of the former Wednesday October 25, 2006 in Beaufort National Cemetery at 10 o'clock. Mr. Eggers was born March 14, 1924 in Portland, Oregon, the son of Louis A. Eggers and Bertha Creighton Eggers. Mr. Eggers was retired as a Realtor, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; four daughters, Jeanne Miller of Folly Beach, SC, Mary Sayre and her husband Cris of Toledo, OH, Laurie Hull and her husband Sam of Folly Beach, SC, Christine Eyre and her husband Kenny of Toledo, OH; three sons, Richard L. Eggers, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Toledo, OH, Patrick Eggers and his wife Patty of Dagsboro, DE, Thomas Eggers of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Floyd Eggers of TN; twenty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
