Richard DeLoach Obituary

DeLOACH, Richard EARLY BRANCH, SC - Mr. Richard Haston DeLoach, 80, of Early Branch, died Wednesday morning at his residence. Born December 22, 1924 in Hampton County, he was the son of the late Robert Hason DeLoach and Lola Adams DeLoach. He served his country in the United States Army, was a construction supervisor and was a member and Deacon at Deep Branch Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dora Lee Heape DeLoach of the home; his stepmother, Betty DeLoach Hadwin of Early Branch; one son, Lt. Col. Richard Carroll DeLoach and wife, Jane of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Mrs. Trudy Freeman and husband Carl of Varnville; two brothers, Vernon DeLoach of Port Royal, SC and Bobby DeLoach of Dacula, GA; one half brother, Anthony DeLoach of Varnville. There are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Erneal Murdaugh. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Deep Branch Baptist Church near Cummings, conducted by Rev. Barney Tuten and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Deep Branch Baptist , 134 Deep Branch Road, Varnville, SC 29944 and prior to services on Friday morning. DORA LEE I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RICHARD'S PASSING. WAS QUITE A SURPRISE WHEN I SAW THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE PAPER. I SHALL REMEMBER BOTH OF YOU WITH FOND MEMORIES. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I'LL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS. MARY SUE HAMMOCK
