Richard "Rickey" Cox Charlotte, NC - Richard "Rickey" Andrew Brandon Cox, 30, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Charlotte, NC. Family and Friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6 to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 o'clock at St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Rd., Summerville. Burial will follow at Stokes Cemetery in Hendersonville, SC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.org, an organization that Rickey was an avid supporter. Richard was born October 6, 1987 in Charleston, SC, son of Crystal Cox Adams (John) of Dorchester and William Eugene Bailey (Katherine) of Dorchester. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He graduated Cum Lade from The Moore School of Business. He was a loyal Gamecock fan who enthusiastically supported all athletic activities at University of South Carolina. He was always checking stocks, fantasy football, playing golf and was an avid traveler. Survivors include: three sisters: Emily Bailey (Todd Irick) of Summerville: Sarah Waring of Dorchester and Caroline Bailey of Summerville; four brothers: Ronald Adams (Gabby) of Houston, TX, John Clayton Adams of Dorchester, Andrew Bailey of Summerville and Cole Bailey of Dorchester; Grandparents: Martha and Larry Bailey of Summeville and Kip and JoAnne Cox of Tampa, FL; aunts: Sara Ginn (John) of Williams, SC, Tara Delonge (William) of Summerville and Carrie Williamson (Trent) of Tampa, FL; uncle: Patrick Cox (Briana) of St. Croix, USVI; nine loving cousins. He also leaves behind many dear friends, including lifelong friend Robert Rusch (Catherine) of Goose Creek.
