Richard Bradbury Obituary

BRADBURY, Richard Richard George Bradbury, age 82, passed away during the late afternoon of September 26th 2005. He was visited earlier that afternoon by his granddaughter Brittany and also talked with his daughter Sheila by phone. His daughter-in-law, Kathleen was by his side when he went home to be with the Lord. Richard was born on December 24th 1922 in Keene NH. In 1939 he moved to Niagara Falls NY. He was inducted into military service in 1943 and served until 1946. His service included the invasion of Leyte Gulf under General McCarthur. He married Mary Jane Logan in 1947. She died on April 19th 1969. They had five children: Shelia Ann, Albert Joseph, (deceased husband of Kathleen), Thomas (deceased), Timothy John, and David Allen (deceased). Richard built a very successful television and antenna business known as Antenna's by Bradbury. He completed his years of employment as a cook and counselor at the Fellowship House under the founder: Husnara Sundram. He retired in 1988. He spent the last few years of his life spending winters in Charleston SC and summers in Niagara Falls NY. His daughter-in-law, Kathleen gave of her selfless energies to care for him during his last year and was at his side when he died. She was his Earth Angel. Richard is survived by his daughter: Sheila Ann of Williamsville NY; Son: Timothy and daughter-in-law Kathleen of Charleston SC; two grandchildren: Elijah Paul and Brittany Lee. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Niagara Falls NY in late November or early December, 2005.
