I was so sad when I found out about Rich. It took awhile to get over the shock that such an amazing, healthy, young Christian man could be taken so soon. He loved his children so much and was a great daddy. Rich worked with us doing tree work and I was always amazed how strong he was. I have not seen him in awhile- too long. My prayers go out to his family and may they for ever keep daddy alive in the children's hearts.

Rich we go back to the days of Charleston County when I worked in HR and you were just starting as a Detention Officer. Then I moved the Aviation Authority and then you came over as a police officer for CCAAPD. You always kept me laughing and smiling, We used to have some great talks about the Lord and now you are with him. To your family I give my condolences. Richard was a great officer and friend. Richard you will be missed.

To Richard, Jenna and the Children,

I was saddened to learn of Richie's passing. Like Vickie stated, we have all grown apart since growing up. The last I heard of Richie, he was serving in the military. I was also surprised to find out so many great things about his life. Richard, you did a great job of raising a wonderful son and patriot. I am thankful for his selfless service to both our country and community. Jenna, if I can help you and the kids in anyway, please let me know. Though I am in Afghanistan and can not be with you, my prayers are with you.

To Richard, Jenna and the Children,

Like Vickie stated, it has been a long time since we've seen each other. We lost touch with each other along time ago. As kids, we all visited. But I guess life overwhlemed us all at times. The last I heard, Richie was in the military. We sure missed the opportunity to see each other grow. Richard, thank you for raising Richie to be a fine young man. I am proud of the man he had become and the selfless service he gave to our country and community. I am currently in Afghanistan and will not be able to attend, but know I will be there in spirit. Jenna, if I can ever help you, please feel free to let me know.

To Ian, Bella, and Connor:
Always remember that your daddy loved you VERY much! He was a great man and loved God with all his heart. He would have stayed with you forever if he could have, but Jesus needed another angel. Never forget that he loved you and you made him proud. All three of you were the apples of his eye. I know you will miss him terribly, but know that he is happy in Heaven with Jesus and one day you can be with him again if you live your lives for Jesus just like Daddy did. If you ever need anything we are here for you! We love you very much, Uncle Jamey, Aunt Leslie, Isaac and Emma Claire

I have not seen Richie in years. Didn't know he was a deputy sheriff, didn't know he was married and had three children. Seems as you get older family grows apart. Every one gets rapped up in there own lives and seem to forget about each other. When Richie was little he would come to our house a lot. Him and Aunt Joyce would come and stay for a few days or we may go to Summerville to see them it was always a good time. Rich was always the youngest so he got picked on sometimes, but he was a sweet little boy, couldn't help but love him with his big smile he had on his face all the time. He will be missed by all.
