I had the honor of working with Dick through my association with Phillips Industrial Services over the years. Dick was a very honorable and hard working individual who would not expect anyone to do a job he couldn't.

Richard and I were coworkers in the shipyard for many years until our retirement We were also friends and neighbors. Richard was an outstanding person and Cecily and I will miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gail and the family.

I worked for and with Richard at Charleston Naval Shipyard for many years. He was probably the hardest working man I have ever known. Richard always had a terrific positive "get the job done" attitude and loved people. He touched many people's lives in a very positive way.
