Richard Bearss Obituary

Richard Sherman Bearss MAUMEE, OH - Richard "Rick" Sherman Bearss, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. He was born on April 6, 1949 to Richard and Grace (Johnson) Bearss in Indianapolis, Indiana. Rick served in accounting with the family business and enjoyed an early retirement to spend time with his friends and family. His happiest times were on his boat or at the beach, adventuring with his kids and grandkids. Rick was a loving father and grandfather, a true and loyal friend, and a mentor to many. Rick is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Jason) Ayers, son, Mike (Nicole) Bearss, and his 5 grandchildren; Jackson and Harris Ayers, Dean Nettles, and Zach and Emma Bearss. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Holt. The visitation will be held at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. from 4-8 p.m. with a Memorial service Wednesday, June 8, beginning at 7:00. Memorial donations in Rick's name may be given to the Open Door Ministry in Toledo, Ohio or a charity of your choice.
