Bobbi, Wanted you to know that we all miss Ricky so much here at Sce&g. I am reminded of him daily, his attitude, his sense of humor, his spirit. Others I talk to mention him too and I know we all feel the same, saddened to have lost him but happy he rests in peace. He will forever be an inspiration to me.

Bobbi,
I know that a few days have pasted since we laid Ricky to rest, yet I still feel his spirit everyday as I am sure you do. You know that we love you both and Ricky would want us to make sure you were taken care of. That is all of your friends job now. We did what we could for Ricky and we will do what we can for you, large or small. You are in our prayers every day as is Ricky. WE WILL MISS HIM!! Love you.

Bobbi,
I have only known you and Ricky for the four years I have been with Michael but I have grown to love both of you. I always thought that Ricky was a wonderful person, who was always happy no matter the situation. I think that you are an angel that has selflessly taken care of him when he needed it. You have both impacted my life in many ways. Michael and I will miss Ricky but he will always been on our minds and in our hearts. We love you both!

Our precious friends Sue & Jimmie,
We are so sorry to hear about Ricky. He was just a little boy when I last saw him but I know how proud you are of him and all he has done over the years. Reading some of the beautiful words that people have shared makes me feel I knew him too.
Our love and prayers are with you during this terribly sad time.
We love you,

To Rick's wife and family:
I work for SCANA Energy in Savannah, Georgia. Rick handled most of my computer situations. I've talked with him numerous times and he had been here a few times to work on equipment. Even with the very small amount of time I spent with him, I could tell how very special he was. He was so patient and helpful and even made the great effort to talk to me without all the techno-babble that most IST people throw at you! A sure sign of a kind heart and someone who loved people. You are in my prayers, but I also rejoice with you in the knowledge that he is with God in a wonderful place! I just hope they have his mountain dew there!

Dear Bobbi and Family: Ricky's smile touched me the first time I met him working at SCANA. He was a very special person that always had a smile and kind words to offer. He will be missed by all that knew him but there is peace in knowing he suffers no more! God Bless you'all during this and know that also that he is dearly missed by his co-workers.

A rose once grew where all could see, sheltered beside a garden wall. And as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches straight and tall.
One day a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide. The rose bent gently toward its warmth, then passed beyond to the other side.
Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted, the rose blooms there. Its beauty even greater now, nurtured by God's own loving care.
Bobbi, I am praying for you during this very difficult time. I know you will miss Ricky, but remembering the time you two had together will keep him with you always. We never know God's plan, but I feel sure He needed another angel in heaven for a special reason and only Ricky would do. May God bless you, and may all the prayers being offered comfort and help you now and always.
Prayers and sympathy,
Jessica

Bobbi,
Brian and I are so very sorry that we can't be there for you for the funeral services. You and Ricky have always meant so much to our family. I have never seen our boys admire two people the way they admire you and Ricky. We all have lost a tremendous person.
Try to remember that eventhough we may not understand it God has his reasons for taking Ricky. He is in a much better place smiling down upon us all saying, "everthing in heaven is perfect, peaceful and painfree".
We know that you and Ricky are loved by so many people because you both have been such giving people, you are surrounded by people trying to help you deal with all of this and make sense of it all but if you EVER find yourself needing or wanting a friend we are here for you too.
Our sympathy, prayers and hearts go out to you and your family,
We love you,

Mrs. Bobbi,
Daniel and I will miss Mr. Ricky a great deal. Words can never describe the feeling I had when my mom told me about Mr. Ricky Monday when I got home from school. I can't even imagine what you are going through but please know that there are a lot of people out here that love you. If there is anything that I can do for you please let me know. The best memory I have of Mr. Ricky is when he taught me how to throw the bowling ball in a towel one Saturday afternoon after juniors. I will always love you both. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest bobbie and family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss; My thoughts and prayers go out to you in your time of mourning. I work at Sandpiper Lanes and learned of Ricky through other bowlers. I dint get the chance to know Ricky, but i have been told he was a wonderful man; and that he brought smiles and laughter to many peoples lives.. I lost my brother a few years back, and during my grieving process i wrote a poem. Putting it out on paper helped alot. So now i would like to share it with you and hope that it will do the same for you.
God seen he was getting tired and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around him and whispered come with me,
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away,
Although we loved him dearly we counld not make him stay,
A golden heart stopped beating,
And working hands laid to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us... HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.

Bartee Family,
I worked togather with Ricky at National Discount Copmputers. He talked me into hireing him even though he had no computer exp. It was the best thing I ever did! He was such a breath of fresh air! His uplifting spirit pulled us through some low times. He could always be counted on to come up with a joke or something when it was needed the most. Ricky, myself and Charles Nicholson were great friends.
Love ya Ricky, will miss you. Keith Paradise

Dear Bobbi and Family:
One of the first memories I have of Ricky was when Cathy R. was in the hospital and Ricky blew up a latex glove to get Cathy to smile. Of course my twins thought he was the greatest. We have been to many showers and get togethers over the years and you and Ricky are the best. I don't know alot of your friends but I know the love they have for both you and Ricky. He is with GOD now, and and forever in our hearts. We love you Bobbi and our prayers are with you and the family. God Bless.

Bobbi,
I only knew Ricky as a friend at work. He was a very talented young man and took the time in his busy day to say hello to everyone when he was in our area. When he spoke of you his face would light up and his eyes would sparkle, he was so proud to be your husband! Even though I do not know you, I could tell that you are a kind and vivacious woman.
Ricky was not a whiner. Even on days that I could tell he did not feel well, he was at work. He was the kind of person that you enjoyed being around. I will miss seeing his cheerful spirit around here. I am sure you and your family will miss him profoundly. I am so sorry for your loss; may you find comfort in knowing that he is at peace. Bobbi,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Ricky's family. Through all the years of knowing Ricky, I never heard him complain no matter how bad he felt. He was truly a special person. What a lucky lady you are to have been Ricky's wife. All who knew and loved Ricky (and if you knew Ricky you loved him - that just went hand in hand) were fortunate for having the opportunity to know such a special person. My memories of Ricky go back many years -from you and Ricky as teenagers bowling with Heidi up to the present of Ricky coaching Justin. Justin says "Mr. Ricky" taught him a lot in his few years of bowling - things he will always remember. Ricky will truly be missed by all who knew him and loved him. I know that Ricky is in a better place and free of all his pain and suffering, but those he left behind will miss him greatly. Bobbi, but just as important know that you are loved and know that God will continue to be there for you every step of the way.
My Love to you.

Hey Bobbi,
I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and Ricky in this time of sorrow. Ricky was by far the best man I knew and he will always be remembered in my heart. He has been an inspiration and a friend when I had very little. He was always there helping us out the best he could and if we ever needed him, we could always count on him.
My most cherished memory of him was when we went to the TSR tournament a few years back. It was PJ, Ren, Niki, myself, and a few others and we all went out to eat after the tournament. We ate right across the street from the alley we bowled at. During the middle of lunch, PJ reached into his pocket and found his score sheet, he had forgotten to turn it in. Ricky took it and he started running across the street to give it back. It was so funny, the way he was weaving in and out of traffic. We knew he was doing that on purpose. After a day of all of us doing not so well, he was able to lighten up our spirits.
I'm only sorry that I was unable to see him to tell him goodbye before he left us. I know he is looking down from Heaven right now watching over everybody. It is going to be hard living without such a great person in our lives and it is going to be very painful at times but we have to make it through. He was my coach, my friend, and more importantly, he was my mentor.
Ricky, I just want to let you know that I love you. I'm sorry that you had to leave us but I'm glad your in a better place now. You meant so much to so many people and I know you will continue to shine there in Heaven.
Bobbi and family, my condolenses go out to you all.

Please know that Ricky touched alot of youth lives. He will be sorley missed and not a day will go by that they will not think of him. My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. Always remember that Wally, Crystal, Ryan and I will be here for you whenever you need us.

There are absolutely no words that can describe what you are experiencing this very moment and days to come. It's a mixed bag of emotions, I'm sure, and it's one of those things that you have to go through in order to remotely understand. Although many may not be able to empathize with you Bobbi, there are many who are willing to extend themselves to your need. With that being said, remember you are not alone. You are surrounded by many who love you dearly. We will all greatly miss Ricky. Someone else referred to him as the "Gentleman" and I think that perfectly describes him. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. My deepest sympathies for you and your family.

Dear Bobbi, our deepest condolences go out to you during this time. As we all grieve, we know that Ricky is in a better place now. There is a special place for him and he will be there waiting for you. You and Ricky have given so much to so many other people, I only hope we can take care of you just as well. Ricky was an extraordinary person, the kind of person who gives other people hope and encouragement, all the while not expecting anything in return. Whenever I came to him with a question or doubt, he lifted me up and helped me see past it. I will never forget the last two words he spoke to me: "Bowl well." Even near the end he was continuing to cheer us on. What a gift we had in being able to share him with you.
We love you!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Ricky was a very special person, and he enriched the lives of all of the people he touched. Ricky was a devoted, selfless volunteer, someone who gave so much of his time at so many levels. He has been a huge part of all the kids' lives, working with them and sharing his life and love for them all. Bobbi, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and all of the family members during this time of loss. Words can never convey how sorry we are or how unfair losing Ricky is, but we want you to know that Carol, Lizzi and I are thinking about you, and love you very much, and we will always love Ricky. You and he are family to us, and if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
He is in a better place now, with no more pain, but his spirit will remain a part of us, he is in our mind and hearts forever.

I can remember Ricky always being so cheerful when he came to visit my sister, Becky, in the hospital. She,too, fought cystic fibrosis. She always adored Ricky. They were so much alike in many ways. Always positive and cheerful even when they weren't feeling well. So many of us, including myself, lack that trait. I am sure she was waiting at the gates of heaven for him. We lost my sister almost 14 years ago. Ricky and she were just teenagers when we all met.
What a joy it was to come to work at SCE&G 8 years ago to see Ricky working here. He was always a bright, happy spot in everyone's day, always going out of his way to help everyone here. He was never without a smile and most of the time a joke. I will miss that as we all will. I will never watch another Carolina Panthers game without thinking about him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers-please know through all of this and in the future, you have an extended family in me. If there is anything I cam ever do whether it be tomorrow or 10 years from now please know that I am and always will be here.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have been thinking of you Ricky alot over the past few days. I will always remember that infectious smile of Ricky's and those wonderful hugs he used to give. You have been blessed by Ricky's loving, kind spirit and I hope over the coming months those things will comfort you as you learn to go foward, lean on God as well, he is the one who knows your hearts desire for peace and comfort. Remember to take care of yourself during this time, rest when you can and know you are surrounded with love.

Bobbi,
I am so sorry for your loss and so sorry for the community's loss. Ricky meant so much to so many and served as such a wonderful friend and coach to our community's children. He truly believed in each and every one of them. He was a true inspiration and showed such strength. He will be missed.
Love,

It is hard to convey in words everything that Ricky (and Bobbi) has done for all of us youth over the years. For 10 years Ricky has been coaching me. I don't think any of us would have done nearly as well as we did at tournaments had Ricky not been there dancing for us ;) Ricky was an amazing mentor, friend, coach, husband, and man. The world needs more men like Ricky in it, he was/is most definitely an inspiration to us all. I know I would not be who I am today without him giving me so much advice over the years. I wish you Bobbi, and the rest of Ricky's family strength and I hope you realize how loved you are as well <3
With all of my love,
Niki Malkin

Hey Bobby, i am really sorry for your loss, i took it pretty bad, i can only imagine how bad this is for you, i wish i could have been there, even though everyone said i would have been better off. I loved ricky, he was more than a coach to me, he was a good friend, i am going to miss him soo much, and i dont think bowling will be the same, but i will bowl only because he would want me to. He would want us to stay strong and laugh alittle, like he did soo well. I wish he could have lived one more day, we were comeing to see him on tuesday but he didnt make it. I love you Mrs Bobby, and i loved ricky and i hope you can get threw this...With all the love i can give.....Matt

Bobbi, my deepest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I knew Ricky many years ago and feel very sad by his passing. I think the world needs many more men like Ricky. He never complained and never said a cross word about anyone. He always believed (from what I remember) that he could fight this. My understanding is that he still believed that up to the end. He will be greatly missed by many and always in my heart. May God bless you at this time and for the furture. My many prayers, Teresa Maksim (aka Connolly)

Ricky will be missed very much but now he can breath with out hurting the ones hurting is all the family and friends he left behind.
