I first met you in Community Band back in the 90's but got to know you better on FB. Will miss your interesting posts! My deepest sympathies to your family for their loss. The world will be a less interesting place with you not in it!

Rhonda and I became friends through our oldest children - Robyn and Maddie met in Speech class at SASMS and were fast friends for years. My condolences to all of you as you grieve Rhonda - she was an amazing lady and will be missed

Maddie and Abbie, I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you girls in prayer. My heart is with you both. Brad Long, my heart and thoughts are with you too. As a family cry together, comfort each other, and be strong together. Nothing we can say can ease your pain but just know that she will never have to suffer again. Take care.

My heart is broken for the Long family. I had kept up with Rhonda on Facebook as she struggled through this journey. My prayers are with you all as you go through the grieving process. I was hoping to be there Saturday, but already had plans to be out of town. May God watch over all of you.

I know Rhonda from the Charleston Concert band, where I play oboe. She was a wonderful friend. I'm so sad to hear of her passing.

Rhonda and I became friends in a round about way. I was an band alumni at the Univ of Southern Miss but I was also a band alumni of Grissom High School in Huntsville AL. But what brought us together is the fact that my oldest daughter was also going to USM for her degree in Music Ed and little by little, Rhonda and I kept running into each other on Facebook, through other musicians and teachers at USM. Many times, I only was able to see posts about my daughter's participation in USM music events, because Rhonda would see it and tag me. Otherwise I would have never known......
Through the years, I came to know Rhonda as a musician, her family....but what I took away the most was just her constant love of people in general. When I think of her, I can only describe her as a friend collector. and you could not ask for a better one! She always had time to check on her friends and she kept us laughing with her posts and sense of humor about all things food. I will also miss her live stream of rehearsals of the various groups she played in. No matter what I was doing, I would keep her live feed open on my computer, just to see her face and smile at her expressions as she played during the rehearsals.
What a kind soul....adventurous.....warm and sincere.....always uplifting....I will miss her very much!! And my thoughts go out to her family that I know is broken with the loss.......
