I was so sorry to hear about the passing of my aunt Carol. She was married to my uncle Jack, who was my mother's brother. All of them are in heaven together now. I remember aunt Carol being a very compassionate and loving person who was always kind to me and was a great canasta player. We went to their house from Florida almost every summer and enjoyed many dinners. Many talks and always playing cards. Aunt Carol will be missed and even though I haven't seen her in years her presence in the world will definitely be noticed. Her kindness and gentle heart are one of a kind. Rest in peace, aunt Carol.

I met Carol when I was a sophomore in high school after I became friends with her son Matt. She was like a second mother to me. She treated me like I was her fourth son. She would feed me after I dropped Matt from school. Those who have enjoyed Mama's cooking know that I couldn't pass that up. Words can't explain how much love was between us. She introduced me to the Southern hospitality, sweet tea, and Southern phases like "Bless his heart!" Or "That's right. " Every time I went back home to Summerville or North Myrtle Beach and didn't stop by to visit, I would be in trouble. She was there for me when my stepfather passed away or when we talked about my ex filing for divorce. I used to call her every birthday or Mother's Day because God put her in my life to be there for me, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I miss you, Mama. Love your fourth son, Jeff
