Rebekah Williams Obituary

Rebekah Bannister Williams, 88, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. She was born on August 9, 1937, in Lexington, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Jessie and Celestine Bannister.
Becky was married to her beloved husband, Charles Williams, for over 62 years. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Clerk of Courts. Becky was a faithful member of Summerville Baptist Church. She loved socializing, especially with church members. Becky enjoyed cooking for her family, playing Mexican train, and completing crossword puzzles. She also had a passion for writing poetry, traveling and was known for her outgoing and friendly nature.
She is survived by her loving children: Franklin Jerome Williams (Audrey) and Rhonda Burke (William); her grandchildren: Brandi J. Williams, Ashley Elizabeth Burke-King (Trey), Bradley Thomas Williams, and Courtney Burke Lorah (Shane); her great grandchildren: Angelica Williams, Leighton Lorah, JD Williams, and Gideon Lorah. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Williams; as well as her son, Charles "Pete" Owens Williams, Jr.
A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 2pm to 3pm at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The funeral service will begin at 3pm.
