Rebecca Lombardi Obituary

Rebecca Lombardi MT. PLEASANT - Becca Lombardi, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 21 2023, in Charleston, South Carolina. Becca was born in Detroit, Michigan on 16 May 1947. She spent her early years at the family home in Detroit. Upon graduation she moved to the greater Boston area and was employed John Hancock Insurance Co. for several years. She later married Robert Stier and they had a son, Peter. After a move to Florida they moved back to Massachusetts making their home in Manchester. Becca later attended Endicott College and Merrimac College obtaining her undergraduate degree after marrying her surviving husband, Joseph Lombardi in 1984. They resided in Manchester and Annisquam until 2012 when they moved to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Becca has always had a keen love of nature, the ocean, children and her dogs. She was a convert to the Episcopalian Faith. Becca love writing her journals and was an avid reader. She loved to travel with Joe to Key West, Hawaii, Asheville, New England and Maine to visit with friends and to see the National Parks and National Wildlife areas. Becca treated everyone with an equal degree of respect and kindness. She loved being a mother and taking her children, Nick and Peter, to their sports and cultural events and every other activity you can imagine. In her last years, she loved to read to her grandchildren and talk to them about the varied wonders of the world, however large or small. She was thrilled and thankful to have two wonderful daughters-in-law, Katie and Cherylanne. Becca was preceded in death by her parents, Agatha Beck and Les Sheffold. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joseph Lombardi of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, Nicholas Lombardi of West Ashley, South Carolina and Peter Lombardi of Brewster, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Sam and Jack Lombardi, Tyler, Will and Andrew.
