My deepest sympathy and gratitude to the Swain family at the time of his passing, my fave US Navy Veteran, Raymond Swain. Many happy memories of the Isle of Palms and "Swainland". Raymond bravely entered US Navy aviation service in the 1970's . He flew onboard the P-3 Orion (Lockheed Electra) as an anti-submarine warfare electronic specialist---using his sensor arrays, he could track down precisely where that submarine was. Ray and I used to play guitar a lot together. He threw my going away party when I left Charleston exactly 40 years ago.
