Raymond Kiley Obituary

CPO Raymond E. Kiley, USN (Ret.) GOOSE CREEK - CPO Raymond E. Kiley, USN (Ret.) passed away September 28th, 2013, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Ray was born August 5, 1941, in Bloominton, Illinois, the son of George W. and Helen M. (Thomas) Kiley. He served as an Engineman in the Navy and retired at the Naval Weapon's Station in August 1990 after 30 years of service. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 166, 40 & 8 Voiture 1067, the Tin Can Sailors SC DES RON 3 Squadron, and the Fleet Reserve Association Branch #269. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Roberta "Vickie" Kiley; sons David (Debra) Michel, Jon (Ann) Medley, Pat (Bessie) Medley, William (Laura) Medley, Fred Kiley; daughters Helen (James) Breen and Lisa Kiley; sisters Mary (John) Bouldin, Kathryn (Bob) Tutterow, and Margaret Kiley; brothers George Kiley and John (Sherrie) Kiley; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Denise Kiser. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at American Legion Post #166 on Saturday, October 5th, 6:30 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ray's honor to American Legion Post #166, 116 Howe Hall Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
