To the Gadsdens:
We grew up in Morris Street Baptist Church and our family sat on the pew behind the Gadsdens in the "old" Morris Street and two behind in the present church. Our fathers died a month apart in 1958 and our famiiy admired Mra. Elmeta Gadsden for her strength as she guided her family through life. When tragedy struck the families of the church everyone had an invisible bond, that bond has struck again despite the years and lack of communication as we all found our corners of the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Gadsden Family
I can not tell you how my heart sank when I received the news of Raymond’s passing. He has been my friend since we were children growing up together and we have remained good friends through all these years. You have my deepest sympathy during this very difficult time. I know that God does not give us more pain than we can endure, and I know that even though I’m sure that he has taken his place in heaven, it doesn’t lessen your sorrow. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I will keep Raymond in my heart forever. God Bless You!

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again

What moves through us is a silence, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye,but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gave the family memories too beautiful to forget.
