Raymond Dodd Obituary




DODD, Raymond Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 28, 2007, Raymond Edward Dodd, husband of Helen Gibble Dodd of Summerville, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services Sunday, May 6, 2007, in Deer Park Baptist Church at three o'clock. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. Burial services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. Mr. Dodd was born on July 9, 1923 in San Francisco, CA a son of the late Lee Earl Dodd and Amie Clement Dodd. Following service as a Naval Veteran of WWII in the Japan Theatre, he retired as a Produce Manager with Fiesta Markets and was an active member of Hessel Union Church in California for over twenty six years. Ray & Helen ministered for ten years with Mobile Missionary Assistance Program. Ray and Helen moved to Summerville nineteen years ago where they are presently active in Deer Park Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Helen; two sons, Thomas Edward Dodd of Summerville, SC and Robert Edward Dodd and his wife Caralee of Moncks Corner, SC two daughters, Cheryl (Shari) Aloway, and her husband, James, of Summerville, SC and Debra Brickell and her husband James of Moncks Corner, SC; his brother, Jack Dodd of Arizona; 14 grandchildren: Heather Aloway, Courtney Thearle, Catherine Hamilton, James Brickell, Keegan Dodd, Steven Ala, Kisha Dodd, Bradley Ala, Khara Dodd, Carissa Graham, Katherine Brickell, Chad Peaslee, Andrew Dodd and Melanie Dodd; two great-grandchildren, Landen Dodd and Dallas Dodd. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be given to Deer Park Baptist Church Missions Program, 8875 University Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29406.
