Raymond Craven Obituary

Raymond Morgan Craven, 82, of Ladson, SC, a retired Associate Pastor for the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goose Creek, died Wednesday evening at his residence. His funeral service will be 5:00 PM Monday afternoon, August 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 until the hour of service on Monday. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goose Creek, 133 Saint James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445 Mr. Craven was born January 7, 1943, in Charleson, SC, a son of Samuel Craven and Lizzie Mae Haddock Craven. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goose Creek. Mr. Craven loved talking about his faith, witnessing to others about Jesus, and helping anyone he could. In his spare time he enjoyed driving and was the best at giving directions. He was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn Craven and Marion Craven. Surviving are two daughters, Crystal Pillow and her husband Robert of Ladson and Lisa Herring and her husband Jimmy of Summerville; a daughter in law, Jean Craven of St. Stephen; eight grandchildren, Lisa Farmer, Bradley Herring, Ashley Craven, Katelyn Kenyon, Glenda Craven, Dakota Carney, Tre Carney, and Austin Carney; and twelve great grandchildren.
