Raymond Fredrick Collier HARLEYVILLE, SC - Raymond F. Collier, 87, widower of Maude Olivia (Lib) Collier of Harleyville entered into eternal rest on Sunday February 3, 2013 at the St. George Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday February 7, 2013 in the Harleyville Southern Methodist Church with Reverends Larry Sprague and Haskell Parler officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion and Masonic Rites. Pallbearers will be Julius Batten, Herman Graham, Samuel Herman, Charles Mizzell, Ernest Westbury and Ben Plexico. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Raymond was born October 26, 1925 in Harleyville a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Caroline Elizabeth Wimberly Collier. He was a carpenter and repairman and served his country as Merchant Marine during WW II and a Korean Army Veteran. He was a member of Harleyville Southern Methodist Church, Harleyville American Legion, Life Member of Egeria Masonic Lodge and Woodmen Lodge 368, Summerville. He was predeceased by his siblings: Maude Hutto, Ella Rhett Mims, Rozelle Graham Wyndham, Mary Tease Martin, Will Collier, Joe Collier, Heyward Collier, and John (Gus) Collier. Surviving his daughter, Sharon C. (James) Walker; grandchildren, Brad Walker and Joy Cook, all of Walterboro, Greg Walker of Atlanta, GA; great-grands, Joseph Pellum, and Savannah Walker; brother, Vance (Alma) Collier, Harleyville; sister, Iva C. Knight, Harleyville. His special friends and caregivers, Rev. John T. Hucks and his wife Barbara and their daughter, Patricia Hucks all of Smoaks.
