Dear Brenda and family,

I am so sorry to hear about Ray. It was an honor to take care of him while he was at Roper. I will always remember doing the wedding for him and remember how he always wanted me to write Brenda a note for work. My thoughts and prayers are with you..

I feel blessed to have spent some time with Ray before he left us. I would not trade those moments for anything. Ray, Brenda and "The Girls" have always been like a second family to me and my children. It hurts every time I think about him being gone. You are peaceful now, Ray. I love you and will never forget you. You were always the life of the party.

I will always remember the good times, I had with my Uncle. I wish that I could share all my memories of him, with everyone that will read this, but for everyone that really knew him and his heart, they will know the joy, that he could bring into your life. I know that he is at peace now, and I know that the Lord will take care of him. He was deeply loved and will truly be missed.

May God sustain us in our time of physical lost of brother and friend,Ray Betterton. I had the opportunity to speak with Ray on 12/22/05 the look in his eyes and spirit he brought to our conversation assured me he was prepaired for this time. It did not surprise me due to my professional experience with him, he was always prepaired.

I am so sorry to learn about the death of Master Sgt. Betterton. I want to thank you, your family and Pastor Ron for praying with me for my father while we were together in the waiting room at the hospital. My father has been released from the hospital and I know that Sgt. Ray will be home in Heaven resting in the bosom of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Stay prayerful and know that my family and I will be thinking of you and praying for you during this time.
