Memories and Condolences
for Randolph Parks

Not sure what to say?

I was in 6th and 7th grade with Randy and we both left Bonds-Wilson about the same time . We both lived and played hard in Singing Pines . He drove a Chevy SS and I drove a Dodge Demon . There was some fun times in the old neighborhood and there were some sad times . But I have some good memories of Randy . He gave me a job at the store and I was grateful for that. And after I left N. Charleston 40 years ago, I would try to look up Randy and see how he was doing . May he now find peace with our Lord and Savior . And to his remaining brothers and other family members, please except my sincere condolences .

Randy was a unique individual. Never a boring day when he was around. A laugh a minute and never a dull one. He was fun to work around and for all those years. He had a gift of being a great story teller. I really enjoyed all his stories, especially the "Water Knockers and Gator Head Gasket" . Those will live on into the future. On a business trip to Atlanta years ago, we were in a Mexican restaurant having several adult beverages with a large group of automotive people. Randy got up from the table and started telling one of his stories. He got very dramatic and involved in the story. It was extremely funny even though I had heard it many times. Everyone in the restaurant, even the staff stopped what they were doing to listen to Randy. He was quit the performer at times.
God Speed Randy! You will be missed!

You will be missed Randy. We all grew up together in Singing Pines and you and I went to school together at Morningside Elementary. Your parents and mine were good friends. Parks Auto was the place to go to for any of our auto needs. Rest in peace Randy. I will be sending my prayers. My Heart goes out to your family.

You were the boy next door I grew up with, my first date. We went to see the James Gang in concert, then went to a drive-in and ate French fries. I remember your hot blue car sitting in your driveway, newspaper chase in your front yard that yall wouldn't let me play because I was too young and yall were throwing newspapers at each other. Catching minnows in the pond behind your house, I remember when you got burned badly in a cave you built behind your house and how you watched us line up for the bus stop each morning while looking out your parents' big picture window. I think you were the first one of us to have a job! RIP Randy and to your family my deepest sympathies.

Met Randy so many years ago too many to even count needless to say I met him and his brothers when I started out in the automotive business as a driver for City Auto Parts in Summerville. We all had some good times at Bessingers on Rivers ordering large cups of ice and coke to mix with our Wild Turkey. Will miss you Randy. Rest in Peace my friend.

RANDY WAS ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE. WHENEVER HE WOULD COME INTO THE STORE HE WAS ALWAYS IN A GOOD MOOD. HE WAS NEVER "TOO BUSY" TO TALK TO THE EMPLOYEES. HE WAS DOWN TO EARTH EVEN THOUGH HE CAME FROM A WELL TO DO BACKGROUND.
IM GLAD TO HAVE SHARED SOME TIME WITH HIM ON THIS EARTH.
"SEE YA ON THE OTHER SIDE RANDY!!"
