Randall Wright Obituary

Randall Wright Irmo, SC - Randall Stephens Wright, Sr., 62, husband of Claudia "Dee Dee" Strange Wright, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Lexington Medical Center. Born February 23, 1954, in Sumter, he was a son of the late James W. Wright and the late Rilla Kennedy Wright. He retired from Ford Motor Credit Company. Following retirement, he loved working in the Pro Shop of the Club at Rawls Creek Golf Course. He enjoyed spending time with all of his special friends at the Big Thursday Club, Rawls Creek Golf Course and Anglers. Survivors include his wife of 40 years; a son, Randall Stephens "Stephen" Wright, Jr. (Monica) of Columbia; a daughter, Megan Wright Graham (Chris) of Columbia; two grandchildren, Connor Wright and Harper Graham; and a sister, Patti Stubbs (Charlie) of Lexington. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Salem United Methodist Church, 1321 Salem Church Rd., Irmo, with the Rev. Gary Phillips and Chaplain Donna Peele officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday in the Salem United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Emergency Room and 4th floor ICU physicians, nurses and staff of Lexington Medical Center; the physicians, nurses and staff of the MUSC Head and Neck Center; and his Physical Therapist and friend, Katie Smyers. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 1321 Salem Church Rd., Irmo, SC 29063 or to the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Head and Neck Department, 86 Jonathan Lucas St., Charleston, SC 29425. I am so very sorry to hear of Randall's passing. He was my supervisor the last year or so that we were at Ford Credit and he was such a hoot. Randall was a good man and I hope the family finds comfort in knowing that others morn with you.
